At the recent meeting of the Third Sector Health and Social Care Forum, held in Castle Douglas on the 16th March we were told of a forthcoming Self-Management Fund from the national Health and Social Care Alliance (the Alliance).
We are pleased to let you know that the Minister for Public Health and Sport, Aileen Campbell MSP has now launched the new round of the Self Management Fund: Working Together to Strengthen Integration, a £500,000 Fund which focusses on investing in third sector led, self management approaches which work to strengthen the Health and Social Care Integration Agenda and work innovatively to overcome some of the barriers to third sector involvement. This is an opportunity for third sector and their statutory sector partners to work together over a short period to demonstrate and build capacity for self management approaches to be strengthened in integration partnerships.
Organisations can apply for 12 – 18 months of funding, for up to £30,000.
The guidance document and application form are attached for your information and are available on the Alliance website here.
We are working with colleagues from the Alliance to arrange a number of ‘surgeries’ to provide support to organisations interested in applying. Information will follow in due course.
